[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Johnson Health Tech the internationally known health products brand released their very own line of massage chairs in 2013. These chairs are the Johnson J6800, J5800, and J5600. They are all built around 3D massage roller technology and each offer a different set of features. This review covers their top of the line model, the J6800. The core design principles behind these chairs are usability, like controlling multiple massage options, and quality, making sure they stand the test of time.
Massage Roller
The Johnson J6800 has what’s called a 3D massage roller. It is able to travel up and down, left and right, but also adjusts to push deeper into the muscle tissue of the back. Being able to travel up and down, left and right, adding an extra axis moving in and out allows for a deeper level of massage. It’s also great for letting people control the different massage intensity they want at different times; moving from strong to soft. Fujiiryoki and Panasonic are the pioneers of 3D massage rollers, and the J6800 has one of the best 3D mechanisms on a massage chair traveling out 3.5 inches. You can adjust this easily through the remote and control the styles and rhythms of the massage.
Airbag Massage
The J6800 has a 31 multilayered airbag massage system. Having multilayered airbags helps the massage feel more lifelike during different programs. They feel more natural being able to pulse and squeeze at different levels instead of just squeezing in one area. The airbags are able to compress and apply shiatsu style massage to the outer shoulders, arms, hips, thighs, calves, and feet. There are also 3 settings for the airbags from a gentle squeeze to a deep compression.
Massage Programs
The J6800 also has plenty to choose from with Automatic Programs. There are 11 programs in total and allow for a wide range of massage experiences. They are based around traditional massage methods for use in stretching, to awakening the body, to increasing the lymphatic flow, to general healing and relaxation. To give a person an added level of control they include a repeat button so you can experience a certain part of the massage again. This helps for parts of the program that you enjoy more or bring greater relief to a certain area. For those who want to create their own programs the J6800 has 3 different user profiles that can be programmed into the memory of the chair. There are also plenty of options with manual programs that focus on different regions of the body. Once initiated a person can control the style, speed, and how intense they want the massage to be.
Special Functions
The Johnson J6800 is like many other premium chairs, it has a lot of extra functions. To make this chair good for not just massaging, but also for sitting, they’ve incorporated a reversible ottoman. This is very similar to the Panasonic EP-MA70, which can go from massage chair to recliner very quickly. There is also a heating element for the feet and hands. During a massage you can put your hands into a piece of fabric that goes over the torso and is connected to the backrest. It can be used to heat the hands or chest. To add to the immersive effect of massage there is also a very easy to use MP3 player. Located in the armrest you can plug your MP3 into a universal cord and play music directly through the speakers located near the headrest. There are also fingertip controls located at the edge of the armrest that control the recline, and roller intensity.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
